Spaying or neutering your pet is the best way to help reduce the homeless pet population, and it prevents many health and behavioral problems in your animal.
The Frederick County Humane Society offers a year-round vet-subsidized voucher program for low income Frederick County residents. Pet Overpopulation Prevention (POP) has specific income guidelines for participation. Surgery cost is as follows: $65 dog spay or neuter; $60 cat spay; $30 cat neuter. We also offer Quick Fix for Cats: $25 neuters; $35 spays.

Metro Ferals has two low-cost spay/neuter clinics for feral and domestic cats. Clinics are located at Eldersburg Vet Hospital, 1527 Liberty Rd., Eldersburg.
