Tails on Trails - Saturday, May 14, 2016

The Frederick County Humane Society cordially invites you to participate in this year’s Tails on Trails being held at Utica District Park in Frederick on Saturday, May 14, 2016. This event is a collaborative effort between the Frederick County Parks and Recreation and the Frederick County Humane Society. It is a celebration of fitness, fun and Fido. Whether you walk it or jog it, with a dog or without, this event is all about fun! The map can be viewed HERE.

Tails on Trails has two events. The 5K9 is a 5K trail run, for owners and their dogs, through scenic Utica District Park. All dogs who participate in this event will receive free admission to the “Bark in the Park Event” following the race. The Best Friend Fun Run/Walk is a 1 mile fun run or walk with a dog or without.

5K-9 Trail Run

The 5K trail run through scenic Utica District Park has easy to moderate hills, twists and turns. This run can be done with or without your dog.

1 Mile Best Friend Fun Run/Walk

The 1 mile fun run or walk is an easy trail, mostly paved, that can be done with or without your dog.

Registration

Registration can be done online (prefered) HERE, or call 301-600-2936. Dog owners must bring a collar, leash (no longer than 6 feet), and proof of rabies vaccination for entry. Limit one dog per runner. Dogs who participate during the run will receive free admission to the Bark in the Park event following the race at 10 am.
